Can you believe the weather lately? It was just a bit chilly for my portrait session with the M family, but not too bad at all. It was close to sunset, so the light was beautiful outside. This is Henry and Hayley with their pup. So sweet.
I’m excited to introduce baby Shane, who is the firstborn for my friends, Karin and Colin. This was my first session where I integrated video and I am loving the results. This cute family actually made it pretty easy! Take a look at the moving portrait below as well as some of my favorite photos.

by Jill no comments You may remember Mae and Fred’s fabulous DC wedding in 2008. I was so excited to meet up with them and their one year-old recently for some family portraits. Noah is so stinkin’ cute that I wanted to take him home with me. I loved these red Christmas lights! It was a challenge to shoot there though as there were tons of people walking by doing their holiday shopping. Aren’t they an adorable family?

He came into the world a few weeks earlier than expected and I can tell that he will continue to keep his parents on their toes from now on. EJ was three weeks old when I took these photos and he was really alert. Their nanny has been with them since Hayley was just a toddler….lots of love there. Mom didn’t want to be in the photos, but maybe I can catch her next time!

Shane was a preemie baby, so he’s still super tiny at 5 weeks old. This outfit was supposed to be his “going home outfit”, but it’s still a little big on him. I just wanted to put him in my pocket and take him home! So, so adorable.

Noah and his mommy! He is not quite ready to walk on his own yet, which I guess is a good thing because he refuses to wear shoes.
