This was the last wedding I shot this season. I’m putting some favorites shots below, which include a few by Maria Linz, who was my fabulous 2nd shooter at this event. There was also another wedding photographer there who I had fun chatting with, though her loyalty that day was to the bride; Beth Crook of Dover, DE was a bridesmaid and sister-in-law of the groom.
Lauren & Rick were married at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Chesapeake City, MD and the reception was held at the Chesapeake Inn Restaurant & Marina. I have to say that the Inn’s website doesn’t really do it justice…this is an AWESOME location for a wedding. It’s in a super-cute little town, it’s right on the water (I guess the word “marina” clued you into that already), has a really friendly and efficient staff, and a breathtakingly gorgeous ballroom. Maria captured the ballroom’s big starry light feature in the last pic below.
Of course, nothing can make a wedding more enjoyable than a great bride & groom! I clicked with Lauren right away as she is really down-to-earth and I could tell she isn’t a sweat-the-small-stuff type of person. Wow, I’m just throwing clichés around everywhere. I didn’t get to meet Rick until the day of the wedding, but it didn’t take long to see how warm and funny he is, like Lauren. They went from tears one moment to laughing at each other the next. This is the moment when Lauren & Rick realized they had mixed up their wedding bands. No way was Lauren’s ring fitting on Rick’s finger! Everyone got a good laugh out of it.

Maria grabbed this perfect shot soon after they exited the Church:
