I just came across this image and wanted to share it! This was my homepage photo when I launched the first version of my photography website just a few years ago. I’m not even sure what year April and Rob got married (October 2001 or 2002 perhaps?…I remember that I was only scheduled to stay through the beginning of the reception and I think I went to a Halloween party afterwards with coworkers from my old AOL job…my costume was ‘wedding photographer’…scary). I was the second shooter and used photos from their wedding in my first sample album because I loved them so much. I was shooting film at the time and had to track them down in DC to borrow their negatives to make prints.
Now, here’s the cool thing….I am shooting the wedding of a couple they know this June (and their engagement portraits this weekend!). Years after their wedding, they referred their friends to their “second shooter”….I’m not sure they would have even known my name if I hadn’t tracked them down to borrow their negatives. Glad I did!
Anyway, I’ll be posting current photos soon as I have several shoots coming up over the next few weeks…engagements and babies, gotta love ‘em!
