Mae and Fred: married!

I shot Mae and Fred’s fabulous wedding yesterday at St Columba Church in Oxon Hill and the JW Marriott in DC with second shooter, Maria Linz.  I’m about to head off to Ocean City to join my family for the week, but promised to get some pics up on the blog before leaving!  I’ll add details about the event when I return next week.  This was such an awesome wedding that choosing a just a few photos for the blog was tough!

We stopped at the Lincoln Memorial for portraits after the ceremony. It’s crazy how excited the tourists get when they see a wedding party….they were staring and taking photos and wishing Mae and Fred congratulations.

The area was really crowded, but we still managed to get a few shots without random people walking through.  I loved the vibrant red roses Mae was carrying from Fiore Floral.

Mae changed into this amazing dress for a special waltz-rumba type dance with her new husband. They were so fun to watch.

mae - Hi Jill!

Julia - Hey Jill — these are great! Love Fiore — her flowers are always great! And I live about 1 mile from Hollin Hall Pastry Shop and so happy to see them used for the cake! Did you have to get a permit for the photos on the monument? I have yet to do that b/c I’m worried about getting busted!
